The company Arturo Alvarez was born in 1994 in Santiago de Compostela, in northwestern Spain. Created and patented Simetech®. Material Simetech of Arturo Alvarez
After two years of research, in April 2014 arturo alvarez SIMETECH® patented, handmade material composed of a metal mesh stainless steel to which is applied a silicone coating. SIMETECH® is a highly malleable and moldable material, suitable for creating large volumes, with different textures and different light intensities, thus adapting the design and identity of each lamp. This material creates chiaroscuro areas providing a warm and hypnotic light stays splashing creating friendly and welcoming environments full of personality.
This material has been recognized in December 2014 in New York, with BEST OF YEAR award organized by Interior Design magazine in the category of "Innovative Material Translucent Lighting". 14 of our collections are made with SIMETECH®.
