Michael Anastassiades founded his design studio in London in 1994.
The main features of his designs are industrial style, sculptural and artistic, trying to make every design true works of art. At first sight, they seem simple objects, but meticulously detailed.
Michael Anastassiades is particularly known for its lighting designs, which comprise almost 80% of its work.
He often chooses reflective materials - such as mirror glass and polished bronze - that seem to dematerialize their objects, to float independently, interacting with the space around them. Anastassiades has worked increasingly with some of the world's leading architects, including David Chipperfield and John Pawson, and interior designers such as Studio Ilse.
His projects can be seen in hotels, restaurants and shops all over the world - including the Stockholm Grand Hotel, Soho House New York and Sergio Rossi boutiques around the world.
