Lamp for indirect and diffused light. Base in steel powder coated silver. Cylindrical diffuser, extruded polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) opal. Functions ON /OFF of the two light sources placed at both ends of the double diffuser apparatus by foot switch mounted on the electric cord.

Achille Castiglioni

Born in Milan in 1918.

Since 1940 he devoted himself to try industrialjunto production with two Livio (1911 1979) and Pier Giacomo brothers (1913 1968). After graduating in architecture in 1944, he began a search for forms, techniques and new materials, driven by the development of an integrated design process.

Was one of the founders of ADI in 1956. In 1969, he received, written permission from the Ministry of Education to practice as a professor of Artistic Design for Industry at the Faculty of Architecture in Turin until 1980 and subsequently Design Industriala in Milan until 1993.
