In 1929, J. Feliu de la Penya created a family company dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of decorative electric lighting apparatus.
In 1961, the invention of the first electrified rail for electrical devices, which he named Troll, revolutionized the lighting market. In 1962, the Troll lane receives a Delta, a prestigious award for innovation and creativity. With this breakthrough, the Troll brand comes as a new concept in interior lighting technique. With the success achieved by the invention of the electrified rail, the company has been strongly involving in their revitalization.
The 80s represent the growth stage of Troll and it is when they positioned as a leader in Spain. From the 90s, the company expands and consolidates internationally with the opening of offices, manufacturing facilities and acquisitions. The company also has distributors worldwide.
