Collection Up of Vibia collaboration Ramos & Bassols

Up is an extremely fine ceiling lamp with LED technology. It does not require any type of embedment. A design by Ramos, Bassols, it is a collection that conveys the feeling of circular or square holes in the roof and generates an effect of natural light from outside.

The essential design of this luminaire aims to accentuate the feeling of a recessed ceiling lamp, while its outline in relief refers to classic ceiling rosettes.

Each of the four models of the Up collection is integrated into the roof, providing a high aesthetic value without breaking the harmony of space.

Ramos & Bassols has created for Vibia a light and versatile single roof.

Vibia is a lamps designer firm founded in 1987 in Barcelona, Spain. It designs innovative, different and made with high quality materials lamps. It is focused on the finishes and the handmade details.

Ramos & Bassols designers Up

Ramos y Bassols is composed by David Ramos and Jordi Bassols, they both are industrial designers. Their studio began in 2004, after several years of experience in different fields such as street furniture, lighting and office furniture.

Based in Barcelona, Ramos y Bassols offers a personal view on contemporary design, always balancing between shape, function and aesthetics. Their products have clean lines, but they are warm and attractive to the public.

They have been awarded several times: 7 nominations for the Delta Awards, First Prize at the Madrid Furniture Fair 2002 Hospitality Design Product in 2010 and International Interior Design Association in 2010 in the Alpha series awards. More recently in 2015 they have been awarded with Red Dot Adward.

Facts about Up of Vibia

The origins of the collection come from classical cornices rosettes and early twentieth century decorating the aristocratic houses of that time.

The Up soffits use LED technology that produces a bright light homógena creating a warm atmosphere. The new lighting system End causes the LED to project light through illuminated methacrylate diffuser laterally which makes it even more fully homogeneous lighting effect of natural light, as if it were a skylight.
